HRP Textile Agency is strategically based in the heart of Portugal’s textile region and counts with a team composed of specialists experienced in the industry. Being based in Barcelos allows HRP to have a wide range of options regarding suppliers, since we are near a great number of clothing manufacturers. As a Textile Agency, we proud ourselves of providing a service which adapts to the requirements and standards of each client. Since we act as an intermediary between brands and suited suppliers, we are not limited to work with only certain types of garments. Consequently, HRP can be very flexible when attending to your requests.
We are genuinely committed in building long and trustworthy business relationships with our clients. In fact, throughout his career our CEO has built several partnerships with both suppliers and clients. In many cases, these partnerships have been going on for more than 30 years.

HRP Founder
Rui Hart is the founder of HRP Textile Agency and has over 30 years of experience in textiles. He has lived between Portugal and the UK, where he attended the Bolton Institute of Technology. Throughout his career, Rui’s network in textiles has expanded significantly as he worked with several renowned European brands and dealt with a wide range of suppliers. Rui firmly believes long business relationships are based in mutual trust and commitment, where both parties genuinely invest in their future together. It is with this belief that HRP was founded.

All orders are audited at the manufacturing site using AQL 2.5 (level2). Additionally, fabric and garments testing can be done (if required) in recognized laboratories such as SGS and Intertek.

Capabilities of Manufacturers
- In house laboratory for various tests (shrinkage, colour fastness and others);
- Sample room; Pattern making;
- Warehouse for fabrics and accessories;
- Cutting and automatic cutting system (CAM);
- Sewing (sampling and production lines);
- Automatic garments folding plus packing system with metal detector.
Outsourcing
- Piece dyed, garment dye, embroideries, prints and washings are subcontracted.
Corporate Social Responsibility
HRP Textile Agency is becoming increasingly aware of how important it is to assure a more sustainable development approach, which considers our stakeholders, the environment, and our community. As a result, we are, step by step, shifting towards a more sustainable business model based on those pillars.
Stakeholders:
Regarding our team, since we consider ourselves to be a family, not only we are focused on improving their wellbeing and happiness at work, but also to celebrate their achievements and anniversaries. Additionally, there’s a strict policy to only work with ethical suppliers which assure the health and safety of the personnel throughout operations.
Environment:
We encourage our suppliers to reduce their environmental impact as much as possible, through processes innovation and certifications. Additionally, we have developed internal procedures to tackle this matter, such as promoting recycling and waste reduction, plastic avoidance and installation of LED’s to save energy.
Community:
HRP has already made donations to help organize local festivities in Barcelos. Furthermore, every year during Christmas time, HRP encourages our suppliers to donate garments which are not up to standards to be shipped, and make sure they find their way to the ones in need.
